Abstract

This study aims to develop an online writing program based on visual images to alleviate teacher job stress and to explore its effectiveness through practical application. According to previous research, teachers experience psychological difficulties due to stress arising from various tasks and interpersonal relationships, which have been exacerbated during the pandemic. This study received validation from 12 educational psychology experts regarding the program for reducing teacher stress. Additionally, ten middle school teachers in Y City, Gyeonggi Province, participated in the study, where the content of their writing was analyzed to explore the program's impact on stress management. The results revealed that reflective writing based on visual images is effective in helping teachers recognize and manage their emotions and problems, leading to an increase in positive emotional expression. Furthermore, offering the program through an online platform provided teachers with opportunities to manage their stress without being constrained by time or location. This study presents a new approach to managing teacher job stress and could serve as foundational data for developing programs applicable to various professions in the future.
