Abstract

The study presents the experience of the research on teaching Russian speech etiquette to international students of an educational organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Based on the analysis of the books and data of the ascertaining cross-section, there were developed and tested the tasks which provide for the study of speech etiquette formulas in various communication situations. It is established that effective use of formulas of this or that speech situation is achieved when performing the following tasks: reading and discussing formulas of speech etiquette; role-play through dialogues; making dialogues taking into account the presented situation; compilation of dialogues using the given lines. The presented tasks were tested during the academic year in the course of Russian as a foreign language. The tasks involved pairwork (role-play through dialogues), acting out situations (role-playing in microgroups), discussing etiquette phrases (group discussion), etc. Experimental training has shown that successful mastering of speech etiquette formulas by international students is possible when the tasks are completed many times on a regular basis.
