Abstract

The aim of the research is to reveal the peculiarities of verbalization of the concept NATIVE LANGUAGE among students who are native speakers of the Udmurt language. It has been substantiated that to identify the meanings that represent the content of the concept, it seems effective to use the method of associative experiment. This method makes it possible to identify the core, near and far periphery of the concept. The scientific originality lies in the fact that for the first time the concept NATIVE LANGUAGE in the representations of native speakers of the Udmurt language has become a subject of study. As a result of the reactions analysis, the nominative field of the concept NATIVE LANGUAGE has been reconstructed, where the most important components were “National culture”, “Native Udmurtia”, “Family”.
