Abstract
이 글은 장-뤽 마리옹의 현상학에서 계시와 계시 인식에 관한 문제를 탐구한다. 그는 직관의 초과를 일으키면 우리를 압도하는 포화된 현상이라는 개념을 벼리어냄으로써 현상학의 새 장을 열었고, 계시를 포화된 현상의 가장 탁월한 예로 간주하여 종교적 현상에 특별한 위상을 부여했다. 하지만 학자들은 마리옹의 계시론에 대해 다음과 같은 의문을 제기했다. ‘우리는 이 가장 탁월한 현상으로서의 계시 현상을 어떻게 인식할 수 있는가?’ 이 물음에 답하기 위해 마리옹은 계시에 대한 현상학적-인식론적 접근을 시도한다. 이에 나는 (1) 포화된 현상과 계시 현상에 대한 마리옹의 이론을 간략하게 해설하고 (2) 지금까지 제기된 이 이론에 대한 비판적 물음들을 개괄하며, (3) 해당물음에 답변으로서 마리옹이 제시한 회심의 해석학이라는 계시에 대한 인식론적 접근이 지닌 장점과 약점을 명확하게 보여줄 것이다.
