Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and predict the process of forming solo travel intentions using model of goal-directed behavior to understand the decision-making process of solo travel behavior. This study collected data from 332 adults over 20 years old through an online survey, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18 software.<BR> First, It was shown that attitude, positive anticipated emotions, negative anticipated emotions, and perceived behavioral control had an effect on desires which subjective norms did not affect. Second, the main factors that determine the intention of solo travel were attitude, and positive anticipated emotions. However, subjective norms, negative anticipated emotions, and perceived behavioral control did not have a significant effect on the intention. Finally, desires were found to have a significant effect on travel intention.
