Abstract

The article considers the effectiveness of the use of game elements in English lessons. It is noted that the teacher can use different methods and techniques in lessons, the article tests the effectiveness of the game method of teaching. The use of game methods can make it easier for the teacher to teach students, because it is easier for the audience to perceive the material in the form of games. With the help of games we create a comfortable psychological atmosphere in the audience, establish equality, give a chance to express themselves to both strong and weak students. Students learn to communicate with each other, during role-playing they learn the manner of behavior that may occur in a real situation. It is emphasized that game methods are one of the most effective methods of learning a foreign language, because their psychological and pedagogical basis is game activity, which makes a great contribution to the mental development of the individual. The game activates mental processes and increases motivation to learn a foreign language. And also that game forms and receptions are very various and can be used at each stage of work with vocabulary. It is emphasized that in the first stages it is appropriate to use typical game exercises that will make memorizing words an interesting activity. Game methods allow you to create very real situations of communication between game participants. Therefore, games are especially relevant in the final stages of working with new vocabulary, in which the use of words in the language in specific game situations. Game teaching methods are diverse. Depending on the pedagogical goals, methods of organization, level of language proficiency, there are several groups of games. Plot-role and intellectual, for example, require high knowledge of vocabulary, as they involve spontaneous statements of players. Games can be presented in the form of game elements, situations, exercises and be aimed at other purposes. Game methods differ depending on the number of participants, time, etc. Game methods are often very simple in their organization and require special equipment.
