Abstract
The article presents the results of pre-design studies necessary for the further design of the safety frame for a conventional car type to prepare for winter drift competitions. The collection and analysis of data for the development of the frame was carried out, the main provisions of the official competition regulations of the Russian Automobile Federation for participants of drift competitions were considered.
