Abstract

The border zones that have formed in the Russian-Chinese border area are considered. The socio-economic indicators of the border regions of Russia and the People's Republic of China are considered, and the influence of transboundary regional formation on the development of less developed regions of both countries is noted. The formed border zones on the border of Russia and China are identified, their joint activities are analyzed, as well as attracting investments for further development. As a result of the study, the history of border relations between Russia and China was reviewed, tourism policy in cross-border regions and its priority areas were considered, a comparative evaluation of the socio-economic development of the Russian-Chinese border was made, cross-border regions formed on the border of Russia and China were identified. In the course of the study, possible ways for the development of the border zones of Russia and China were identified, and their impact on the socio-economic development of the regions of both countries was assessed: from China – Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Heilongjiang Province, Inner Mongolia, Jilin Province, from Russia – Primorsky Territory, Khabarovsk Territory, Jewish Autonomous Region, Amur Region, Zabaikalsky Territory, Republic of Altai.
