Abstract

<p><span lang="EN-US">The article considers approaches to the definition and operationalization of the concept of “subjective well-being of children” in Russian and foreign practice. The analysis of the development of the theory of the new sociology of childhood and the clarification of theoretical constructs is carried out. The advantages and disadvantages of the method of studying</span><span lang="EN-US">children’s well-being by measuring its index are analyzed. The study of children’s well-being by measuring its index is promising from the point of view of the time paradigm, that is, the dynamics of a single summary indicator that researchers receive can be traced over time.</span></p>
