Abstract

Purpose: In terms of this study, various treatment types have been proposed to recover athletes from fatigue. But it is the real situation that there are no comparative researches on which treatment type effectively lowers lactic acid as one of the substances that causes fatigue. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to generalize an effective treatment type for the lactic acid recovery through meta analysis based on previous researches. BR Methods: Focusing on a total of 14 research papers from the year in 2000 to the year in 2022 by using RISS, DBpia, the National Assembly Library, and Google scholar, this study carried out the systematic literature review and the meta analysis on 21 data in total with 5 treatment method types in cold treatment (3 pieces), dynamic recovery (4 pieces), sports massage (8 pieces), warm treatment (3 pieces), kynesio taping (3 pieces) by using R version 4.0.4. BR Results: Regarding a treatment type, a total of five types were analyzed the effect size. With the cold treatment -1.09, the dynamic recovery -4.32, the sports massage -2.54, the warm treatment -4.08, and the kynesio taping -1.45, all were confirmed to have a great effect on the lactic acid removal. BR Conclusion: This study was parsed the influence of the fatigue recovery treatment upon fatigue recovery with the use of meta analysis targeting athletes. As a result, all in cold treatment, dynamic recovery, sports massage, warm treatment, kynesio taping can be mentioned to have an impact on the fatigue recovery. However, the cold treatment, the warm treatment and the kynesio taping have few individual researches, which judge the lactic acid levels, and may have a difference in treatment timing and between items. Thus, the outcome must be analyzed prudently. A follow-up research is considered to likely require an additional randomized controlled trial for the fatigue recovery and even a research with the addition of sub-variables reflecting the fatigue recovery.
