Abstract
The article examines the etymology of such concepts as “patriotism”, “learning methods”, “principle of visualization” in the works of domestic and foreign scientists. The empirical research, aimed at studying the features of patriotic education based on visual learning methods in educational organizations of deontological type, is described in detail. The comparative analysis of the results is carried out and conclusions are drawn. The article describes the development and the areas of application of “The Calendar of Memorable Dates in Russia in the 2020/2021 Academic Year” for organizing moral and psychological training for students at Ural Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the 2020/2021 academic year.
