Abstract

This study analyzes the strategies of the Prophet Muḥammad (peace be on him) to strengthen his army in the Battle of Badr and the Battle of Khandaq and looks closely at the war tactics which he used against his opponents. This unveils the Prophet’s (peace be on him) views about organizing and strengthening the army. As a result, Muslims established their rule on earth and people were liberated from associating others with Allah (shirk). We see that these primary goals were achieved through military strength. The essence of this issue can also be seen through how the Qur’ān discusses it in its different dimensions by explaining its concepts, conditions, objectives, and stages and clarifying its theoretical dimensions. The Qur’ān also presents some practical aspects related to it by giving some examples of the Prophetic experience in establishing human privileges and building a civilized awareness that can help the ummah attain the supreme goal of worship. The study adopts an inductive method to gather relevant information about this concept. It also adopts an analytical approach to shed light on the idea, infer its conditions and goals, and explain its features by looking at the Prophet’s experience.
