Abstract

The research characterizes context of anthropomorphic, biomorphic, natural, substantial, and spiritual cultural codes. Their lingual objectification in Vasyl Stus’s poetry demonstrates that these codes are based on folk notions about humans, their body parts, animals, plants, natural phenomena, celestial bodies, household objects, and spiritual values (religion and mythology). The conducted analysis proves that Ukrainian worldview is an important source of cultural interpretation of reality and its lingual reflection. Vasyl Stus deeply knows Ukrainian ethnocultural traditions and has a great command in their artistic expression.
