Abstract
The article is devoted to a topical issue of modern linguistics - the systemic comparative study of substandard vocabulary and phraseology for revealing the national peculiarities of the linguistic worldview. The human body dimensions, represented in Russian, German and French youth jargon, are considered. The classification of the language material by the main dimensions of the human body (height, size) is presented. As a result of the analysis of cognitive metaphors, the figurative component of slang words is considered, similarities and differences in the representation of the human body at the repertory, quantitative levels are identified.
