Abstract

Summary. This article highlights the problem of dental prosthetics for people of gerontological age with complete loss of teeth. In the study group, significant involutive processes of the facial skull were determined, especially the upper jaw, lower jaw, TMJ. These changes affect the stabilization of complete removable dentures, which are necessary to restore the functions of the oral cavity. This category of people requires considerable attention and qualified treatment, since it has a number of difficulties that do not allow full provision of dental care. Key words: TMJ, upper jaw, lower jaw, chewing muscles, complete removable dentures.
