Abstract

The article investigates the mechanical impact on alfalfa seeds during their movement in the seed tube of the seeder; for this purpose, a digital twin has been developed that will allow you to determine the speed, force and mechanical stress exerted on the seeds. The developed mathematical model will allow you to select the optimal parameters, determine the disadvantages and advantages of the device, which in turn will allow in the future to use the full potential of the device to improve pre-sowing seed treatment and thereby increase seed germination, providing farm animals with high-quality feed. The mathematical model was created using two software packages Rocky DEM, which calculates the granular medium and Ansys Fluent, which models the process of air movement in the seed tube, the processes are integrated into the Ansys workbench. In previous studies, the angle of repose of two varieties of alfalfa seeds was determined, the parameters of the Rocky program were calibrated, which makes it possible to enter the previously obtained parameters and thereby obtain an adequate mathematical model.
