Abstract

The main focus of the work is on the issues of managing the safety of the socio-economic and transport and logistics infrastructures of the Arctic zone and the Northern Sea Route. Current development trends affecting assessments of uncertainty and risk are considered. It is proposed that plans and prospects for project implementation be assessed from the point of view of their vulnerability and feasibility. Such reflective analysis should be “built into” the safety management information system. Proper consideration of uncertainty and risk is intended to help improve the viability of critical infrastructures.
