Abstract

The article considers the problems of lacunarity in the Slavonic (Russian and Ukrainian) and Romano-Germanic (English and German) languages. Using a comparative method the authors examine intra- and inter-lingual lacunas. The research findings are expected to be useful for linguists, cultural studies researchers, translators, teachers, postgraduate students and philological students.
