Abstract

The article examines the historical and legal aspects of the formation, formation and functioning of the Institute of traffic Safety in Russia, the road patrol service. In the modern conditions of the development of the Russian and world community, interest in the history of both domestic and international character has sharply increased. The study of history is a kind of modern trend. The development of the road complex is most closely connected with such aspects as the development of the institute of road traffic as a whole, as well as the development of its supporting entities, including the bodies that controlled the implementation of the road traffic process. The road patrol service was born in the conditions of a clearly outlined need to ensure road safety, as well as accompanied by the process of adopting appropriate regulatory legal acts that were issued in response to specific requests from society. For the first time such structures, services, appeared and began their functioning at the end of the 17th century
