Abstract
The purpose of the study is to reveal the attitude of student youth towards military service, to analyze the results obtained, and to identify trends. The article examines the concepts of "value", "value attitude", "value attitude to military service", presents the results of a survey of students, reflecting the attitude of young people to various elements and features of military service. Scientific novelty lies in the definition of the essential understanding of the concept of "value attitude to military service", in the concept of value attitude to military service as an element in the structure of the personality. As a result of the study, tendencies in the understanding of the value of military service and its influence on the personality of the student youth were revealed; negative factors influencing the passage of military service by young people were identified.
