Abstract
The paper discusses strategies and practices for preserving the cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples of the Greater Altai - within the borders of Central Asia. Its assessment as a factor of sovereignty and the building of interethnic interactions determines the relevance of the study. The paper shows that the processes of actualization of the cultural heritage of the countries of the macroregion developed dynamically. The establishment of national priorities in this area did not contradict the multivector international cooperation. The formation of variable integration models has determined one of the main trends in the development of Central Asia at the beginning of the XXI century.
