Abstract

The aim of this work is to identify the degree of completeness of actualization of educational bilinguals’ foreign-language professional lexicon. The scientific novelty of the study lies in a phased analysis of the subject-matter terminology of law enforcement, both in the field of fixation and in the field of functioning (based on lexicographic sources, linguistic corpus), as well as in an attempt to reconstruct the core and periphery of the conceptual framework of law enforcement officers (Law Enforcement) by the example of several key notions. The results of the study have shown that the subject-conceptual component of foreign professional vocabulary is represented in the cadet’s linguistic consciousness to a greater extent.
