Abstract

The present article traces the basic building blocks of Chinese phonetics. It examines the classifications of sounds in scientific literature, presents a new look at the content of the phonetic elements, distinguishing vowel sounds as physical values and as basic elements that should be presented to students when laying the foundation of the pronunciation of the Chinese language.
