Abstract

The main criterion of professional culture of a contemporary music teacher as a prerequisite of their pedagogical self-expression is a professional competence, which presupposes the ability to musical and educational activity based on knowledge, experience and acquired values in the process of professional training. Professional culture of a contemporary music teacher is most effectively formed under the conditions of interaction of a complex of vocal and choir, as well as conductorial and educational skills, necessary for a future music teacher in their professional activity, and their creative application in independent work. The paper characterizes specific notions of spatial environment as a formation factor for professional culture of a contemporary music teacher in the course of conductorial and choir training. It outlines the importance of implementing the competence of spatial feeling of choir participants, as well as the growth of an interactive role of an individual in conductorial and choir activity. The paper considers the basics of music acoustics and its role in the formation of professional culture of a contemporary music teacher.
