Abstract

The study provides an analysis of the participation of women in the activities of executive, legislative bodies of state power, bodies of local self-government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). A comparison of the number of women in public ser-vice at the regional and federal levels is given. The situation on the participation of women in regional and municipal government in executive and repre-sentative authorities as of September 2019 following the results of municipal elections is also assessed. The reasons for the lack of women managers in the system of state and municipal administration in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) at the regional level are given. Measures are proposed to eliminate the gen-der imbalance in legislative (representative) authori-ties both at the republican level and at the level of municipalities.
