Abstract
The article presents a mathematical description of the doppler method of satellite communication systems user terminals geolocation by a retransmitted signal, as well as an analytical expression of the geometric factor of determining the location of user terminals. The analysis of the geometric factor distribution on the Earth's surface in the radio visibility zone of the repeater satellite is carried out.
