Abstract
본 연구의 목적은 토의 중심 유아 뉴스 리터러시 교육프로그램의 교육적 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 경기도의 S 유치원 만 5세 유아 50명(비교ㆍ실험집단 25명)을 대상으로 2018년 9월부터 11월까지 12주 동안 연구를 진행하였다. 실험집단은 본 연구에서 개발한 토의 중심 유아 뉴스 리터러시 교육프로그램을 적용하였으며, 비교집단은 ‘건강하고 바른 세상 뉴스로 배워요!’ 뉴스 리터러시 교육프로그램을 적용하였다. 프로그램 적용 전ㆍ후로 유아의 비판적 사고력, 사회성, 의사소통능력 검사를 진하였으며, 수집 자료는 SPSS 25.0 Window 프로그램을 사용하여 독립표본 t 검증으로 분석하였다. 토의 중심 유아 뉴스 리터러시 교육프로그램을 적용한 실험집단과 ‘건강하고 바른 세상 뉴스로 배워요!’ 뉴스 리터러시 교육프로그램을 적용한 비교집단을 비교한 결과, 실험집단 유아의 비판적 사고력과 사회성, 의사소통능력이 유의미하게 증진한 것으로 나타났다.
