Abstract

The article is devoted to the urgent problem of increasing speech communication efficiency in football environment with the aim of achieving full mutual understanding between its participants. Since each culture has its own way of playing football, its tactics to achieve victory, its manner of supporting teams, difficulties in the process of the communication of multilingual participants in football discourse arise. In this work, the author, analyzing the variants of the football language, its lexical, syntactic, stylistic peculiarities, concludes that for successful communication in a foreign language the ethno-cultural studies of the cognitive-pragmatic aspect of the discourse being considered are necessary, and it is also important to choose the right version of the language and style of communication, which is suitable for the given socially conditioned and professional situation.
