Abstract

The article analyzes some important principles in organizing independent work in the discipline “Foreign Language” in the higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. This study is based on the theoretical and methodological interpretation of existing and new pedagogical approaches and theories aimed at improving independent work in the discipline “Foreign Language”. The research analyzes the theoretical and practical approaches to the forms of independent work which can be considered as indicators of developing language competencies included in the Foreign Language curriculum in high educational institutions of the MIA of Russia.
