Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of trends in the development of the forest industry in various countries and regions based on the analysis of export and import trade and financial flows. The influence of the geographical factor on the volume of forest growth as the primary material for the entire product range of the forest region is analyzed. The influence of transport logistics on trade operations in this industry is also noted. Russia’s competitive advantages in this segment of the economy and development opportunities are outlined, taking into account the potential of cooperation in modern conditions.
