Abstract

The global problems of our civilization have different origins. One of the key ones is related to the problem of the social dominance of a “mediocre” person. This socio-mental category is poorly researched. Philosophical anthropology did not develop the “theory of degrees of spiritual development of a person” either. This is the main emphasis in the proposed study. But the key theme of cognitive immersion is the phenomenon of “executioner” and “victim”. This binary unity is considered through the prism of the degrees of spiritual development of a person. The article suggests criteria for understanding the problem of “Who is who?” and “What is what?” with regard to socio-philosophical, socio-cultural and psychological aspects. It is shown that the “mediocre person”, in terms of his outlook and life orientations in historical processes, often finds himself in the role of the executioner, and the “personality” becomes his victim. However, the role of the victim is also often an image and function of societies that are at low socio-mental levels. The typology of relations between the executioner and the victim was analyzed and outlined, and the theoretical and methodological principles of the “laws of nominative attribution” ‒ the peculiarities of term-conceptual structures ‒ were formulated.
