Abstract

The article examines the identified peculiarity in the Russian speech of the Tajik language bearers - the shift of intonation centre while realizing intonation contour IC-3 according to E. A. Bryzgunova’s classification. The author tries to find out whether this prosodic peculiarity is a marker of foreign speech for the Russian language bearers and whether the bilinguals’ speech is influenced by the peculiarities of the native language or by the Russian-speaking environment. Instrumental research and perceptive experiment lead to the conclusion that this peculiarity is a marker of accent.
