Abstract

Objective. To study the effectiveness of lactic acid lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus rhamnosus V in children with virus-induced exacerbations of bronchial asthma. Materials and methods. Were examined 35 patients aged 3 to 16 years old with exacerbation of bronchial asthma in the background of acute respiratory infections. Twenty five children of the main group were in the complex therapy of virus induced asthma exacerbation and were treated by lysate of the Lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus rhamnosus V ( Del-Immune V ® ) at a dose of 25 mg 1 capsule 2 times a day 30 minutes before meals for 20 days. Ten patients were in the comparison group and obtained standard therapy. General clinical, immunological, allergic and statistical studies were used. Results. Use of Del-Immune V ® in the complex treatment of children with virus-nduced exacerbation of asthma, has led to a significant decrease in the frequency and severity of bronchial obstruction syndrome, which increases the effectiveness of treatment. In the main group, there was a significant increase in the concentration of IFN-gamma and a decrease in the concentration of cysteine leukotrienes in serum, and an increase in the concentration of a saliva IgA in the dynamics of treatment compared with the children in the comparison group. Conclusions. Observed integrated therapeutic effect of Del-Immune V ® use, no side effects and allergic reactions, justifying the appropriateness of Del-Immune V ® inclusion in the complex therapy of virus-induced asthma exacerbations.
