Abstract
The article presents the results of the study of bone remains found on the site of the Odintsovo culture Maly Gonbinsky Cordon-2/6-3. The research on this site, located in the Talmensky district of the Altai Territory, was carried out by an expedition of the Altai State University in 2019-2020. The source base of the work composed of fragments of animal bones originating from three housing structures. Anatomical localization of samples, belonging to a species or to a size group of animals was established during anatomical and species determination. As a result, it was revealed that the faunal collection is represented by a set of mismatched bone fragments and several scattered teeth belonging to 4 species of animals: Siberian roe deer, domestic horse, white hare and common fox. Four samples were identified in the composition of the materials, which have traces of processing. Thus, the results of the analysis of the zooarchaeological collection of the excavations of the fortified settlement of Maly Gonbinsky Cordon-2/6-3 demonstrate the diversifi ed nature of the economic activity of the population, combining various forms of hunting and animal husbandry, with the predominance of horses.
