Abstract

The article examines the possibilities of expanding trade and economic ties between Russia and China in the interests of realizing the potential of import substitution of mining products in the economy of the Russian Federation, taking into account the fact that the policy of import substitution arose in connection with the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions by the United States of America and EU countries. Based on statistical data, an approach is proposed to analyze the prospects for expanding trade and economic ties between Russia and China, which allows us to forecast the development of the studied relations. The results of the analysis of prospects can be used to assess the potential of import substitution of mining products in the economy of the Russian Federation and substantiate relevant recommendations to the leadership of our country. It is concluded that the People's Republic of China has the necessary potential to ensure the supply of mining products to Russia.
