Abstract

The paper analyzed the approaches to addressing the public administration and regional governance issues in the political parties’ programs in Yakutsk region during the Russian Revolution of 1917. At that time, the local organizations of Constitutional Democrats, Socialist Revolutionaries, Social Democrats, (Bolsheviks, Mensheviks), Federalists were engaged in political activities in Yakutsk region. The research noted that the Socialist parties applied the democratic approach to dealing with the national issue; the Socialist Revolutionaries accepted the federal principle of relations between the peoples that provided support for the national movements. The paper demonstrated the aspects of the political program of the national intellectuals involved in the Yakut Labor Union of Federalists. The author considered the attitude of parties to the future state structure of Russia, the principle of the federation, the local government. An attempt was made to analyze the program’s impact on the popularity of parties and their role in the political events of the Russian Revolution of 1917.
