Abstract
The results of studies on 4 groups of fattening rams of the Dagestan mountain breed on the study of selenium supplements in diets deficient in this element are shown. It installed, that the lack of selenium in the feed of young sheep in the south of Dagestan reduces the digestibility of nutrients in diets and the rate of body weight growth. The optimal level of DAFS - 25 additive (15 mg/1 kg) in the feed of 3 - 9 month old rams installed.
