Abstract

Objective. To study the incidence of chronic dermatoses in the population older than working age in the Republic of Bashkortostan for the period 2017-2021. and assess the levels of quality of life, anxiety and depression in patients in this age group. Materials and methods. The incidence of chronic dermatosis among the population older than working age in the Republic of Bashkortostan for the period 2017-2021 was analyzed. The significance of the influence of chronic dermatoses on the quality of life index (QLI), the level of anxiety and depression in patients older than working age was assessed. The number of 234 patients (age from 60 to 86 years) was examined. All patients received treatment at the Republican Dermatovenerologic Dispensary. Among the sick only 110 men and 124 women. Results. The indicators of general and primary morbidity of the population older than working age with diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue in the Republic of Bashkortostan remain at a high level, amounting to 2017-2021 for the period 2017-2021. respectively: 3545.4±93.9 and 5733.9±116.3 cases per 100 thousand of the population of the corresponding age. A higher level of anxiety in patients with pemphigus vulgaris, atopic dermatitis and psoriasis (6.4 points or more), the lowest - with scleroderma (3.8 points). The level of depression is the highest in patients with pemphigus vulgaris (7.5±0.7 points), the lowest in patients with discoid lupus erythematosus (2.5±0.7). The interrelation of anxiety, depression and localization of the skin process was revealed: the first group with localization in open areas of the skin, the second - in closed areas of the skin. In the first group, the correlation coefficient ρ=+0.76, p<0.05, in the second group – ρ=+0.69, p<0.05. The highest quality of life index was noted in patients with discoid lupus erythematosus (30.0±0.2 points, coefficient of variation 9.5%), the lowest in patients with psoriasis (22.3±0.5 points, coefficient of variation 18.1%) . An association was found with the degree of decrease in IQOL and the presence of rashes on open areas of the skin (correlation coefficient ρ = -0.82, p<0.05). Conclusion. The level of anxiety and depression have higher values, and IQL is the lowest in patients with a large area of cosmetic defects on the skin of the face and other visible areas of the skin. Methods for improving medical care for patients older than working age with chronic dermatoses aimed at improving their quality of life are proposed.
