Abstract

Purpose of the study. The determined purpose of the article is to identify analytical and prognostic moments associated with the formation of the new economy market in the context of global challenges, an attempt is made to comprehend this process in the context of academic leadership of the Russian higher school. Research methodology. Realizing the stated purpose of the study, the author relies on theoretical approaches and accumulated research material of sociological and socio-humanitarian knowledge. Results of the study. In the context of formation of the new economy market, the academic leadership of higher education becomes a supplier of highly qualified personnel capable of solving routine and creative tasks. At the same time, a contour of interaction between the new economy and academic leadership is currently being formed as systems of attitudes aimed at consolidating activities in the field of higher education. Prospects of the study are to generalize the relative prospects of the general outline of action and discourse that determines the future of the Russian economy and higher education in the framework of the implementation of the national security strategy and the country’s entry into the leading global space on the basis of an adequate response to global challenges.
