Abstract

One of the main units in the water supply network of MUC "Liman water pipelines" is a water purification plant. Analysis of the water purification plant operation in Olya village revealed problems of imperfect use of electrolysis and overall nonrational application of power resources and electric equipment for water purification. There have been found main areas of concern in the plant of sodium hypochlorite production. There has been proposed the method for increasing efficiency of the station and reducing energy costs, as well as for increasing service life of the equipment. This method is based on the use of hydrogen as a fuel for heating the electrolyte before it enters the galvanic bath.
