Abstract
<p>The article highlights the features of the implementation of the correctional and developmental program &ldquo;School is waiting&rdquo;, aimed at forming the intellectual readiness of older preschoolers to study at school. By intellectual readiness, the authors mean the achievement of a sufficient level of maturity of cognitive processes (perception, memory, thinking, imagination, speech) for the beginning of systematic learning, the child&rsquo;s possession of knowledge, skills and abilities in the scope of the standard kindergarten program, the formation of general intellectual skills and interest in cognition. The identification of the effectiveness of the use of the correctional and developmental program &ldquo;School is waiting&rdquo; took place according to the methods of the diagnostic program &ldquo;School Readiness&rdquo; by L.S. Kolmogorova.</p>
