Abstract

The electrochemical behavior of titanium and the influence of alkali earth metal cations (Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+ and Ва2+) on the charge transfer kinetics of the Ti(IV)/Ti(III) redox couple were studied by cyclic voltammetry method in chloride-fluoride melts of different composition. Standard rate constants of charge transfer and the activation energies of the charge transfer process were calculated.
