Abstract
The article discusses gravity concentration using centrifugal separators. It describes the design and operating principle of centrifugal separators. A method to loosen the mineral bed by a water jet is considered and the concentration process in the centrifugal concentrator rotor is analyzed. The paper presents a way to optimize the gravity enrichment processes through modeling of the centrifugal separation based on the finite element method. The subject matter of the finite element analysis is described. The main advantages in application of centrifugal concentrators and prospective ways to improve their performance are described. A description of economic efficiency for the companies in using these concentrators is provided.
