Abstract

The paper considers the possibility of modifying substandard commercial bitumen in order to improve its rheological properties by the example of using a by-product of selective purification of oil distillates - extract as a plasticizing additive and polymer industrial waste - pulverized polyethylene terephthalate. In the course of laboratory studies, the authors identified the main indicators of the initial bitumen, bitumen with the addition of pure extract and with the addition of polymer-extract solution. The paper reveals the possibility of recycling polymer waste with improving the properties of road bitumen, as well as obtaining a cold asphalt concrete mixture based on it.
