Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the everyday discourse genre and thematic features based on voice messages. The notion and importance of the everyday discourse comparing to the institutional one is discussed; specifics of the everyday discourse are considered to define thematic and emotional voice message content. The author develops the idea of voice messaging being a popular everyday discourse form that shows the key communicative values of the modern society: empathy, frankness, possibility to speak out. Revealed communicative values are represented in certain genre units characterized by specific language features.
