Abstract
This study aims to identify the effects of peer-mediated instruction strategy on improving basic mathematics skills among female students with learning disabilities. The sample consisted of 24 female students with learning disabilities in mathematics. The sample enrolled in the resource room program in Second Primary School and Thirty-Seventh Primary School at Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. One of the two schools was randomly selected an experimental group, while the other as control group. To achieve the objectives of the study, mathematics achievement test was developed and applied for the two the groups as pretest and posttest. The students in the experimental group received their teaching through the use of peer-mediated instruction for five weeks, whereas the students in the control group received their teaching at the same period by the conventional way .On the one hand, the results revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups’ performance on the post-mathematics test, favoring to the experimental group. On the other hand, there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups’ performance due to the grade.

كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق بين متو سطات رتب أفراد المجموعتين ال ضابطة والتجريبية على اختبار الريا ضيات البعدي ُتعزى لمتغ ّي ال صف الدرا سي ،ويمكن تبرير ذلك أ ّن صعوبات التع ّلم متقاربة في هذه المرحلة العمرية ،كما يمكن تبرير ذلك إلى الآلية التي قامت بها الباحثة بالتعاون مع مع ّلمة برنامج صعوبات التع ّلم؛ إذ ت ّم و ضع تلميذات صعوبات التع ّلم في الريا ضيات على شكل مجموعات ،مع تلميذات متفوقات متقاربات له ّن في العمر ومتقنات للمهارات الأ سا سية في الريا ضيات ،يقمن بدور المع ّلمة ،وهذا أ ّدى بدوره إلى تقوية ال شعور بالألفة وال صداقة والتفاهم والتوافق فيما بينه ّن ،ومن ثم شعور القرينة/المع ّلمة ،والقرينة/المتع ّلمة بالراحة والأمان .وقد اتفقت نتيجة هذه الدرا سة مع درا سة هجز وفريدريك ( )Hughes & Fredrick, 2006التي أظهرت أن التلاميذ كانوا أكثر فاعلية خلال ا ستخدام ا ستراتيجية تعليم الأقران في الف صل بغ ض النظر عن الم ستوى ال صفي أو الم ستوى العمري للتلاميذ ،كما اتفقت مع درا سة العفيفي ( )2009التي

وربما ترجع أ سباب صعوبات التع ّلم في الريا ضيات إلى ا ضطرابات وظيفية في الجهاز الع صبي المركزي (الخوالدة، ،)2009أو إلى وجود ا ضطرابات بالإدراك الب صري أو ال سمعي أو الحركي أو الانتباه أو الذاكرة أو اللغة أو القراءة (الوقفي2011 ،؛ ملحم2010 ،؛ عامر2011 ،؛ ،)Bryant, 2005ونتيجة للأ سباب ال سابقة؛ فقد يواجه التلاميذ ذوي صعوبات التع ّلم م شكلات في تع ّلم المهارات الأ سا سية في الريا ضيات ،والتي قد تعود إلى ضعف قدرتهم على ا ستيعاب المفاهيم الريا ضية ،و إجراء العمليات الح سابية الب سيطة ،وارتكابهم أخطاء عند حل الم سائل الجبرية والهند سية (القد سي.)2009 ، ويتطلب من المع ّلم إدخال بع ض التكييفات Accommodationفي البيئة التعليمية لتلبي الحاجات التعليمية له ؤلاء التلاميذ (الحديدي ،والخطيب ،)2011 ،كما يتطلب منه توظيف ا ستراتيجيات تدري سية متنوعة تقوم على تق سيم التلاميذ ذوي صعوبات التع ّلم إلى مجموعات صغيرة يتعاون أفرادها في حل الم سائل الريا ضية (البطاينة والر شدان وال سبايلة والخطاطبة، .)2012وبالنظر إلى المعايير المهن ّية لمع ّلمي صعوبات التع ّلم في المملكة العربية ال سعودية ،نجد أ ّن ا ستراتيجيات التدري س إحدى هذه المعايير التي تتطلب من مع ّلم صعوبات التع ّلم القدرة على توظيفها في البرنامج التربوي الفردي
