Abstract
The study examines a form of improving learning efficiency that is e-textbook. Because of the low interest of self-taught students, non-standard teach-ing methods should be used or new solutions should be incorporated into this process. E-textbook with illustrative and multimedia materials (animation tools) is a way to draw students’ atten-tion to self-education. The design items of such a textbook are considered. The study analyzes the possibility of using a mobile version of e-textbook and demonstrates its advantages and disadvantages. Design students have been surveyed about the role of e-textbook in inde-pendent and individual learning when studying Interior Design Project. Based on the data obtained, it is concluded that students use elearning re-sources to adapt and study a new type of activity. Therefore, the development of e-textbooks should become widespread in the modern edu-cational process, and they should be actively used by teachers and students.
