Abstract

The main results of author’s research dealing with investigation of photochemical activities and phosphorescence of oxygen molecules under direct laser excitation in aerated organic solvents and water have been shortly summarized. Analysis of these results made it possible to obtain the absorption spectra of oxygen dissolved in these media under normal pressure and temperature. Information obtained is of basic importance for spectroscopy of molecular oxygen and elucidation of the role of oxygen as a photoreceptor triggering the biological action of laser radiation.
