Abstract

Nikolay Matveyevich Lyubimov is a well-known scientist, teacher, public figure, doctor. He took an active part in the development of medicine (in particular, bacteriology) in the Kazan province. He served as rector of the Imperial Kazan University. The article presents previously little-known facts about the childhood, youth and other periods of N.M.Lyubimov’s life, told by childhood friends, colleagues and students at a solemn meeting on the occasion of his death.
