Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the essence of the determinants of migration processes in modern geopolitical conditions. The author substantiates the relevance and importance of understanding the dynamics of migration in the world for making informed decisions in the field of public-legal regulation of migration movement. Special attention is paid to the problem of adaptation and integration of migrants as a condition for the successful implementation of selective and replacement migration. The conclusion is formulated that it is necessary to continue work on consolidating Russian migration legislation, which will improve the quality of the national framework for legal regulation of migration in order to ensure the well-being of society.
